It's outside air temp rise that is boosting oil temp too. See what it is as air temps start to fall.

I just purchased 5 quarts of NextGen 5w-20 at Advance Auto but picked it up off a clearance table as the folks there said it is being discontinued. I also saw NextGen on a clearance shelf at my local WalMart. Why are these two retailers discontinuing the NextGen oil?

Regarding warrantee issues... it would be up to the manufacturer to prove that you failed to change your oil. Maintenance logs are all that is needed. Nowhere does a warrantee state that you have to buy the oil used in a change. You could have received the oil for free or had the service done...
