Thats the norm esp in japanese motors. Try different synthetic oil might quiet it dwn a lil bit. PP or PU quieted dwn my 11 Mazda 3 - 2.5L which runs great regardless!

Yes add till reaches full mark on dip stick. Check engine cold for best assessment! Evidently one filter is oversized etc.
