Your Favorite Oils...

I'm just curious, you guys.

What are your three top conventional oils?

My standard "default" oil is now Shell Rotella Syn in 5w-40.

I was using Mobil 1 T&SUV 5w-40 when it was available. I have enough for about 3 Duramax oil changes on hand.

When I run 15w-40, it is usually Mobil Delvac 1300

In addition to the Duramax, I have an old Infiniti Q45 and really old Mercedes turbodiesel. Also a 74 BMW air cooled twin motorcycle.

Whatever on sale for the lowest price or FAR (Free After Rebate). All oils are so good today compares with 20 years ago, you can not get "Bad Oil" now. IMO

Some of the answers are sure expensive dino oils then...

Would be my picks.

But agree that with the SL/SM, most oils are excellent protection and keep the engines as clean as anything else out there.
