Yanmar air filter 114250-12581 OEM vs Noname

I ordered a cheap no name air filter for my little diesel generator. Figured I would see how bad the Noname air filter that costs half as much as the yanmar branded one is.
Well it's pretty bad.
Filter pleats are at best half thickness as yanmar filters. The no name media appears to be straight paper and the yanmar appears to be a synthetic or synthetic blend.
I figured the reasoning for the thiccc synthetic media is so it doesn't breakdown,, shread or rip when the filter gets heavily loaded with dirt.
I you're going to sell it and make it someone else's problem then get the knockoff.
I'll keep it as an emergency use filter or put it on
