Thank you for updating, I didn't even think about linking it back to this thread. YES, the HM Havoline 10w-30 is WAY too thick for real cold temps.
Sister is now running Havoline blend 5w-30, said it drives real nice, hadn't noticed till now that it was a little sluggish before, and starts up nice and quiet.
They'll go back to a 10w-30 in the summer, but I'm pretty sure they'll stick to the blended Havoline, they seem happy in the fact that it idles smoother then with the HM Havoline.
Vehicle is new, to them, so I'm sure they'll be playing oils for a while.
