Who's running High Performance Lubricants (HPL) products in their engine?

I think HPL.makes really good oil if you run a non direct injected motor.
DI engines need frequent oil changes due to fuel dilution and soot. HPL would be a waste here.
I believe that part of the allure of HPL even with DI is that the additive pack and base stocks are so good that you can push the higher OCIs even with the issues you noted.

Thought I would share some pics from the shop today of my Sportwagen's insides...haha...not all of them but what was exposed for a timing chain etc. replacment due to sheared off tensioner bolts (that's a strange story...). So clean (to me at least). This is 83K on the 1.8 with that crap beaten out of it. HPL for the last ~10K miles including their engine cleaner for ~1.8K miles before the first change to HPL. Before that, Liquimoly products mainly (Molygen 5W40/Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40) with a few odd M1s and a QSUD tossed in. LM engine flush with nearly every change. Had Ceratec once and MoS2 a few times. Oil pan pic I took is bad due to lighting so I won't include it but I can assure you it was perfectly clean/just fresh oil with a finger swipe as it was changed about 500 miles ago before this repair. I would assume the cams/top end as well as the bottom end is super clean as well.

HPL 5w40 premium cold climate
OCI not yet determined (currently 8,200 miles on 1 year, next sample at 10K).

I’ve cut dozens of MOPAR filters for Cummins apart. I’m not impressed at all. Especially being made in Mexico. Just statin’ tacts
Fleetguard LF 16035s are made in Mexico. What specifically are you not impressed with? My Ram was assembled in Mexico, best and tightest truck I've ever owned.

21 Ram 6.7L 3500
5w40 cold climate CK-4 diesel oil
Will be getting cases at the open house
'21 Ram 3500 owner here as well.
I've been running the factory-fill Valvoline Premium Blue in 10W-30 since I've not had a reason to switch to anything different, and the oils seem so specific and complicated now.

What factors were considered switching for you?

‘19 F150 3.5EB. 52900 miles

Pennzoil platinum Euro 0w40; draining a quart to add a quart of the EC30 to it for a couple k miles.

HPL PCMO 5w30 after, with a 10k+ OCI planned based on UOA results of viscosity & TBN.

15 Infiniti q40..60k miles

Drained delo 400 10w30 with hpl ec30 and put in hpl hdeo premium 5w30 for 15 k oci.

I'm not gonna worry about the vq motor shearing this oil lol

Koainn ,

I’d love to see a UOA of your 15k run of HPL Premium!

I had a 2001 I30 VQ30DE engine that would beat the living heck out of any oil by 7,500 miles.

Except green GC.

might be 2 years for that LOL...but ill probably send off a sample after one year. i only drive about 5-6k miles a year

TiGeo -

What is LM engine flush and why with “nearly every change?”
Liquimoly Engine Flush. I just got in the habit of using it every change....haven't used it since running the HPL this year. It's $10 for a can, add, idle 15 min, drain the oil.
