I am looking to get HPL for my F119 engine, and realizing that while we all agree their product are top of the line, it is not very clear how they are different then each other. I was thinking of getting their supercar oil, but their email support suggested me Bad Ass racing oil. Could @High Performance Lubricants maybe make a thread here telling us more about their products? I am sure it could be a pinned thread since they are also a sponsor.

And untill then, what is the difference between supercar and bad ass?

I agree. Maybe break their product line into tiers or which product excels at tasks.

Ex.
One that is most shear stable = NoVII, due to No viscosity modifiers
One that flows the best in extreme low temps = PPPCMO, due to highest PAO content
etc.

One is for the street. One is for racing.

So, without knowing anything about your car, because you failed to provide any information, how could you possibly expect a recommendation?

If you are racing the car, use the racing oil. If you’re driving it on the street, use the street oil.

You are right, i could have provided more information. It is a 35 year old car and engine (Ferrari 348) and I absolutely don't plan to race with it. A minor fix on that would cost more than my track car

That is why i was considering supercar oil, but HPL recommended BAS to me, so it makes me think I mis took it as a racing oil

For the record though, i opened this thread not for asking recommendation for my specific use case, but rather inviting @High Performance Lubricants or someone with good knowledge of their products (such as @OVERKILL ) to fill what i think is an information gap here. (My choice of title selection makes it ambiguous though)

Wait…

So, you contacted them, gave them some details about your use case.

They gave you a recommendation.

Then, after that personalized service, you want a thread explaining more??

I think you should be happy with a personalized recommendation

No information gap exists for those who have been here, or are willing to use the search function.

But asking a company to answer your thread, expecting more effort than a personal recommendation (try getting that from any major company) is breathtaking presumption.

HPL has a large customer base. BITOG is not that base.

You’re asking for more than a recommendation, you’re asking for a personalized catalogue for your convenience.

In all honesty, why would they?

They already took the time to give you a personalized recommendation. They already sponsor the site, provide discounts, formulate oils to customer requests, and answer questions, but that isn’t good enough for you - you want more, just to save you the effort of searching and learning on your own?

To my understanding, Premium + and SuperCar are identical except with their respective API/Euro adpacks, so they'll both flow equally well in the cold.

For the matter of fact, I did ask the same question on the Pennzoil Question thread @wwillson started and I am hopeful they will provide a better explanation for us. I have been looking into HPL products for a while, and considering I still have question marks on this, I thought some others too.

It is a little upsetting that my question was met with this kind of response from a staff member. Please go ahead and lock the thread, no need to take others time

I would assume their recommendation was based on what you told them your typical use would be. If that's the case, why second guess it?
If you weren't specific on your typical use, go ahead and ask HPL again. And don't forget to provide that info.
