The one for my application looks like Hengst, right down to the 6 holes and stamped "20" in the base plate. I have two of the Hengst in stock already, and no cutter (on purpose).

Th K&N is way overpriced IMHO.

The Bosch is only mildly overpriced

For starters, I would avoid purchasing oil filters from Amazon. Who knows what you'll get from the wild wild west of commingled inventory.

What about RockAuto? I'm partial to Denso from the available choices:

Or a cheap Supertech from Walmart works just as well if you're running reasonable intervals.

Can't tear if you don't have louvers

Seen torn media regardless if the center tube has holes, louvers or is an eCore. Doesn't make any difference. How the media pleats are spaced, and how weak the media is when stressed is what can cause media to tear.
