I don't think they're claiming to be Original Toyota filters. The OEM Toyota filter is made in Thailand according to the packaging. These are aftermarket filters from China I'm guessing. They come out to under $2 a filter when bought in bulk. From what I'm reading on the forum here, it seems most filters out of China, Korea, and Vietnam seem to be better constructed than the current USA and Mexico made filters.

Can I ask how you identified it as counterfeit? I got a TKH 002 belt from Rock Auto I’m procrastinating putting on my Accord V6.

The water pump and tensioner had horrible castings and no Aisin markings. Packaging was perfect.

Even Rock Auto sells seconds, scratch and dent etc. I’m very careful what I buy from them.

I think I am going to definitely skip over RA for anything critical. However, they sell Denso wiper blades for very cheap and some other name brand items for cheap as well. They are good for some things here and there.

I agree. I still buy things from them but I’m selective. Considering a case of PG filters from them in the near future.
