where does the element come from??

I like the pictures and the cuts, we beat to death the springs, anti-drain valves, and bypass. does anyone really know who produces the element "paper", be it cellulose or synthetic? The most important part other than the construction.
 
Good question! I've wondered about that, too, especially after seeing media that appeared identical in competing brands of filters.
 
It's a very good question. The Big Six might be the main filter media producers but the exact point of origins willtake more research.

Assembled in the USA is only half the story if the components come from other countries. It is what it is.

I had forgot about that side of purolator. I used to work at a plant that used purolator air handling filters on everything.
