Virgin Amsoil EA15K13 C&P - It Ain't Pretty

OP ... any noticeable dent of any kind in the dome end of the can? Wonder if it would have rattled some before it was cut open.
Zero rattles before cutting open. Neither the filter nor box have any deformation that I can see (or measure with a laser ). The other new, unopened filter and box looks the same. Zero rattles when shaken. I'm certainly tempted to cut that bad boy open, also.

Yep toss that filter right into the fire
It and another new one will be going in the trash soon. When I change out from the Amsoil in a couple of weeks, I'll do a C&P on the filter currently being used, although I might be better off just moving on to the Pentius and not looking back. Can't change anything that's already happened, anyway.

Now to find someone in central Texas who may be interested in 14+ quarts of AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20 at a huge discount. Not going to use it. Not going to ship it.

How and where did you buy it?

Contact your dealer/Amsoil and return it.

There is nothing wrong with the SS 0W-20, please don't assert there is. Thanks.

Bought it off the Amsoil website as a preferred customer. Already had conversations with my servicing dealer. Not worth the hassle returning them, especially since one is already cut open. If you're referring to returning the oil, I don't even know if that's possible.

I'm not asserting there's anything wrong with the AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20. I'm saying it's no longer an oil I'm willing to use and have already purchased HPL Premium Plus PCMO to run going forward.

Yes as long as it's not super old and not opened you can return oil.

That filter is the same as a K&N select i am using with just better media but the rest of the build is the same like other clones of these.

Didn't they pay the shipping to you in the first place 🤔
Yes. With all due respect, what does that have to do with my asking if they'd pay return shipping if I no longer want to use their products due to their misrepresenting their oil filter (my perception, thus my reality)?

If at a restaurant and a server brings over a dessert tray, it doesn't hurt to ask for a sample. The worst thing they can say is "No". You both laugh it off and nobody gets butt-hurt. I can then decide if I want to invest in their dessert or not... or pay return shipping.

Now I'm craving another slice of Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard from The Devonshire in London.

Simply this....
If it was me I'd pay your return shipping to end the drama but that's just me..

Them, the way I see it they should pay for you to return defective products. I don't want its? You pay because those products are not defective.

If I was them I'd give you the option to return it locally and if not too far you should have no complaints

That's fair, but sometimes I just don't want to mess with it. If someone local wants the 14+ quarts because they've been wanting to try AMSOIL Signature Series, but didn't want to spend the $$$, I'll give it to them. I'd have already posted it on the For Sale forum, but I've been sick.

I did offer it to another local BITOG member last week, but he said his stash was good.

I get it as i got defective products from Amazon. They wanted me to drive to Staples to return it when I do UPS here daily.
I rarely ever get something defective. They wouldn't let me ship it so I tossed the product in the trash because I don't go to the area staples is at... it's over now 😆 🤣

Actually, they can come back and say “you’re parents don’t love you and you’re a shame to the family name.”

IMO, that is worse than saying no. It’s also what Amsoil should do with their filters…why isn’t there a recall? They did it with ZRod.
