What's your "one stop shop" oil?

I can run our entire fleet on HPL Euro 5W-40. I don't...but I can. Thought about it and doubling all OCI to help offset cost. Free FCP Liquimoly still works for most of them.

Lots of cars......can you explain your "fleet". Family or Turo car rental??

Late spring, summer and fall I use boutique brands. Winter time with cold starts, idling and short trips I’ll use whatever is on hand and cheap. It generally only sees a few K and is fuel soaked so cheap is fine. Looks like it’ll be this hybrid oil next year, this year was plain pennzoil syn high mileage. If I was only to use box store oil I’d say anything Valvoline.

By the owner's manual specs, I could run 5w30 VW 507 in all my vehicles and small engines.

Have definitely thought about it, but one vehicle's oil pressure is much happier with 40w. Another vehicle I'd like to keep on 40w, although that's purely because it gives me the warm fuzzies and not based on any kind of data - which is exactly how most people buy oil.

For me and my two cars it is Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30. I like the 3.5 HTHS for greater wear protection because I keep my cars for very long times. Mobil 1 0W-40 intrigues me a bit also. I keep thinking HPL, but I'll stay with what I have at the present time.

Viscosity/HTHS wise those two are not wildly different than each other. I believe Mobil 1 0w40 comes in at 3.6 HTHS? Those are almost identical

5w30 Supertech/Traveller/Kirkland (cheapest wins). I put 5w30 in three cars currently. One calls for 0w20, one 5w20, and one 5w30. All successful.

Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w40 no question. Excellent oil, widely available, cheap, and works in everything I touch. In reality it's a combination of Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w40, Mobil 1 ESP x4, and whatever cheap dexos oil I find when the chevys I maintain need it.

Just use ESP in the Chevy's 🤷

Can't really do a one-oil-rules-them-all for me. I have diesel equipment, trucks, Euro cars, and small equipment. My stash is a bit of everything. I bet everything would run well on a 0w-40 but not ideal or cheap.
