Look close ...what doesn't belong here??I give him credit for the effort

Well, yeah ...it's a heat exchanger that supposed to hook to heater hoses ...yet he threw on some crap and insists (I asked him what he was doing there) that this thing moves oil.

What I think he did was throw some extra parts in trying to get the bid up. The jacka-s didn't know that most heat exchangers like that will pull $30+ by themselves.

Anyone who knows what they're looking at won't touch it since they know he may have messed it up.

Why not hook up a length of hose and a spray nozzle...then you could spray lube any adversaries that are chasing you down the road...ala Janes Bond...

it is confusing, in terms of what actually is trying to be done.
I think we are thinking in terms of oil to coolant heat exchanger as the method of an oil cooler, which is the traditional way. Yet the pic shows an oil to air cooler, such as an aux. transmission oil cooler.

from the ebay listing:
quote:

This is a custom oil cooler i had on my turbo charged 2000 Ford Escort ZX2. I had it custom made to fit any Ford vechile engine block and oil filter. It cut my engine temp. in HALF! I live in the desert and it gets really hot. All it is, is a sandwhich plate that goes between the oil filter and the engine block. I've add a "T" so you can modator oil pressure with a gauge. All u have to buy is the hoses, i use hydrualic hose, because of the pressure. There is no leaks in the cooler.

first problem, he should've said, "This is a custom oil cooler i had my turbo charged 2000 Ford Escort ZX2, YO !" (arms crossed over chest or grabbing crotch)

He says he uses hydraulic hose but they are hosed clamped

2nd, It cut my engine temp. in HALF. if the engine is running normally, temp is 200-240. So now he is running at 100-120?

good call Gary. What's that commercial where someone calls the hotline and asks, is this funny? Last one I saw was guy eating plastic grapes in art gallery...

He did thank me when I told him that there was no way this thing could move oil. If he had only researched it a bit he could have said that he augmented the heat rejection via the coolant by adding a air/water cooler in line ..but he was just blowing smoke up our arses.

I should have actually bought it. I think those that did bid on it knew what it was and figured that the sandwich cooler was worth more than it would go to in the bidding process.

Why in the world would you BS on a world wide auction

Someone is going to realize you're a fraud.

btw- I wonder if you can get into trouble that way ..I mean beyond just having your priveleges suspended?? I mean it's one thing to sell something that looks like a toaster that may not in fact toast bread ..but selling a toaster as a CD player and claiming that you used it as a CD player is another.
