What's the difference between Mobil 1 EP and AP?

The OLM is based on synthetic blend. So at 5000 miles it already reads 20% life left. Immediately at 7500 miles, 0% oil life left. Driving it 2000 miles more before oil change, my black stone sample still had enough TBN to go past 10000 miles using EP.

I'm starting to think that there is not much difference between vanilla M1, M1 EP, and M1 AP.

EP has extra acid neutralizing additive for long drain intervals

As soon as my warranty runs out, I will extend the interval to 10,000 miles. Any idea why one of the oil samples in my Range Rover sport had a lot of sodium? Does Castrol professional have a lot of sodium? As an additive what does it provide?
