Finished the rust repair. Someone used my tailgate as a grinding bench so all the dust collected by the third brake light rusted. Cleaned it up with some Wd40 and scratch-x and done.
Thought of other stuff to fix on my truck:
Need to get BFG A/T KO's tires rebalanced.
Belt tensioner needs to be replaced. Forgot to replace it at 60K because it's my first truck with an automatic belt tensioner.
Touch up some areas on my pipe/lumber rack.

2005 Subaru: Coolant system flush sometime this summer.
2006 Hyundai: Timing belt later this spring or early summer.
1999 Dodge 2500: Transmission, transfer case and differential fluid changes this summer, along with a coolant flush. I'll probably put a new battery in before next winter.

My 1997 Ford Crown Vic with 267,500 miles might need a new cat. I'm not sure. I want to do an injector balance test first. I have till December before it needs to pass emissions so I've got time to figure it out. Originally it was throwing P0420 and P0430 codes, but I've gotten it to the point where it's only throwing a P0430 code. Yes, it has two cats, one of them is apparently OK now and the other still fails. I suspect that there's a fuel problem on the side with the cat that continues to fail, hence why I want to do an injector balance test. At least they're not buried under the intake manifold on this car, making them easy to unplug with the engine running.
I also need to install the new fender liner on the passenger side front. Someone apparently cut out a large chunk of the old one for who knows what reason. I have the new fender liner, just need to install it.
It also needs a new OBD-II socket. The one that's on it is worn out and makes intermittent connection with some scantools. Go figure. I have the parts. Mouser Electronics, by the way, carries a nice selection of Delphi/Packard connectors and terminals at good prices. 88 cents for the OBD-II socket connector shell and 20 cents each for the pins.
Finally, it may need a new pitman arm in the steering--there's about 1/8" of play in it.

I may install a set of Bilstein HD shocks, to replace the squishy OE Bilsteins, but it doesn't *need* them.

Now we all need to agree on a place to meet where we can bring
said vehicles that need repairs, our tools, parts... and work
on these vehicles one at a time until all the issues are fixed.
I figure with all the expertise in the group and hands that the
vehicles will all get fixed rather quickly.

Also need a good engine compartment cleaning and to update the tube in the coolant resevoir per the TSB so it does not spray out the resevoir cap again.
also a wash for sure, inside and out!
* maybe new shocks in the rear, but thats an upgrade not a priority repair.

F150 - doesn't really need anything. I just replaced all 4 ball joints about 5,000-6,000 miles ago and I put new Motorcraft brake pads all around about 20,000 miles ago, and it's looking like they'll do over 100K like the originals.
I would like to do
-Bilsteins
-New tires (~115,000 miles on the current Michelins)
-U-Joints within the next 20,000 miles
Mustang
-needs more mods
-I need to get a partially broken upper torque box rewelded.
