So let's share. What repairs does your car need?

Mine (Saturn):

- two halfshafts (was replacing mounts today and noticed that the axles had play)

- lower transmission mount

- front brake calipers (front brakes get hot after a short drive)

- water pump (possibly)

Critic, the CV joints will cause driveability problems when they go bad. You'll hear clicking when making sharp turns or shaking during acceleration. Of course, if the boots are torn (not likely with GM cars), then I would replace anyway. I've seen a lot of people misdiagnose caliper problems when the flexible rubber hoses are causing the problem. You may not need as many repairs as you think.

The CEL that's been on for 3+ years means someday I will need to fix the glow plug fault.

One of the suspension bushings is starting to squeak again, so I will probably have to do something eventually.

I have new headlight lenses to replace the old foggy ones.

Otherwise just routine maintenance.
