Ok is this just a legality thing due to a label or is there a mechanical or build material reason why the one labeled for gas is $500 more? I'm wanting a tank for the back bed of a single cab 2500HD for ranch use. What's the real world difference here?

$1199 116 gal
$1699 116 gal

Could be the manufacturer's liability insurance. Blitz went out of business because they couldn't handle the lawsuits.

Do you want a tank for filling equipment or an auxiliary tank for your truck? Both of those seem a little pricey to me and I'd pick aluminum any day of the week. Check FB Market place, usually you can find a deal.

Just my $0.02
