124 or 115 in ball ammo is fine. I prefer non US ammo for training and stash, as it is generally cheaper and high quality, such as S&B or Monarch, or Fiocchi, "cartouches" 115 is faster, 124 had a bit more thump..........my CZ Scorpion Carbine likes 124s better, my pistols dont care.
For end or the world use, M1152 is pretty serious round, it is basically +p+ and then add maybe 5% to that. Flat nose, high penetration, but you sure feel it. New US military standard. With this stuff, you better make sure your gun is of a service grade, such as a Glock or XD or M&P, or a known well made gun with some military pedigree. Your old Jennings 9mm will die a quick death.
HPs, of course HSTs are king
147 are worthless IMO......not enough juice........if you want a heavier round, go with 45
