What do do with 5 quarts of 0W-16?

Sell it on FB Marketplace.
I’d rather recycle it than deal with the knuckle draggers on there low bidding or looking to trade.

“Hey man, I don’t have $25 but I do have $6 in dimes and nickels if you’ll take that. Or I’ll trade you for a half drunk can of Sprite and a pencil sharpener…. Oh, and the Sprite still has some bubbles.”

At this point the OP has spent more time with this in this post than the value of the oil :D. I sold a few 5 qt jugs no drama a few years back...some M1 15W50 I was going to try but decided to just go with good ole' 0W8. Porch pickup, leave the cash under mat, no eye contact. I sell crap like this all the time without issue.

I have 5 quarts of Mobil1 0W-16 AFE I bought a few years ago when I was less educated. The good news is that it was on rebate.

So what to do with it? I am not running it in my Toyota - it will be getting 5W-30 EP on its next change.

I am thinking of giving it to Habitat Restore thrift store. I have seen other fluids in there for sale. Maybe someone will buy it?

I could dump it in the recycle barrel - going there soon anyway.

I supposed I could frankenbrew it with some Delo 15w-40 and get a 10W-30 or something?

I would fire up a smudge pot to scare off the gnats in the spring - but the HOA would not be happy.

Other ideas?
Get an old school oil can - then it’s a lifetime supply for door hinges and wheelbarrow 😷

I say give it away or use it.

I tried to sell some 0W16 last year on here and got the same nonsense I would on FB marketplace. Just a bunch of tire kickers and flyby commentators. I should’ve known better then to try to sell oil to BOBs who are known oil tightwads and overthink everything. Got annoyed and moved on. By the time I got a real inquiry, I had already decided to just use it.

I would have used it as a super additive during an OC, but you got the low moly M1 AFE and not the killer boron/moly laden TCMO.

Oh well. I would sub one quart of in sump of ESP or the EP, Not garbage 5W30 AFE loaded with VM.

People are afraid of 0w16 like it's super thin, but keep in mind that it's not really that much different than 0w20. In the case of M1, the viscosity difference at 100c is 7.6 vs 8.2. Barely enough to worry about.
Nevertheless you should not use it in a vehicle for which it is not recommended. Hence the specific ILSAC classification.

Ideally use it in an engine that's known to generate lots of soot... provided you want to dispose of said engine... and claim bad luck.

[Yes, that was some sort of sarcasm.]
