What Did You Wash or Detail Today?

I wash my engine about every 6 weeks or anytime I drive in road condition that could cause excessive dirt or corrosion.

Just some photos of my 2007 Tacoma after a rain yesterday.

I had washed it last Saturday using Meguiar’s #62 car wash shampoo, and finished with Griot’s Garage Ceramic Speed Shine detailer as a drying aid (1-2 spritzes per panel).

The last time I had applied anything other than the GG CCS detailer was about 2-3 months ago, when I used the GG 2-in-1 Ceramic Spray Wax.

Continue to be amazed at the hydrophobic properties of the GG Ceramic spray products. I do wish they had more gloss and slickness.

The truck has some door dings that other drivers have so kindly applied for me over the years (it’s been my DD since June 2007), and the gouges you can see at the forward part of the side of the bed, which, I have no idea how they got there. I suspect that my previous upstairs neighbors at my apartments did it when moving an appliance or other piece of furniture in with a dolly, and helped themselves to my driveway.

Other than that, I think the old truck looks pretty good for 242,000+ miles on the clock!

I try tp wash my car every 2 weeks Its BLACK nuff said. So I get a lecture every 2 weeks by some neighbor that live down the grade from my house. These people have lived here longer then me and don't even realize that the gutter system in my community is collected and used to water our green ways. I live in a Del Webb Retirement Community.
My local water district only restriction that a hose must have a control nozzle. And you can wash your vehicles! I even use California approved biodegradable car soaps! Its hilarious!

This was last Thursday the 15th LOL

The next time those 2 come out to look at the runoff, put some red or green dye in the water. ;) :D

“Compounded” using Rupes coarse blue DA wool pads. Used TLC+ and Rupes DA Fine Polish depending on the panel.

Final polishing was done using Rupes yellow foam pads and Rupes DA fine polish.

Two coats of CQuartz UK 3.0 on the paint. One coat of Dlux on the wheels.

Nice you should get a solid 1.5 years out of CQuartz UK 3.0.
