What date range were Bosch oil filters made in the USA?

When did Bosch begin to make oil filters in the USA and when did Bosch move the making of oil filters from USA to Mexico? The year or month and year suffices. Thanks for your help.

Someone at Bosch knows. But my inquiries to Bosch have not elicited a useful response. That's why I posted my question.

Based on this thread, looks like at least around 2 years ago.

Thank you! I wonder when Bosch moved oil filter production to the U.S. from Germany. From a U.S.-based seller I recently acquired Bosch oil filters made in Germany. The boxes - shop worn - have a copyright date of 2004.

These filters have a white case and no flutes. The part number is: 0 451 103 219. The inner metal sleeve has round holes rather than "louvers".

Do new-in-the-box oil filters deteriorate with time?

This one ?.. Looks like it might be made by Mann.

Louvers didn't start getting used a lot by most filter makers until around 4-5 years ago. Think it was mainly a cost cutting move for the most part.

Thank you!! The Mann W917 (Made in Germany; white, non-fluted case) and Bosch filters marked 0 451 103 219 (Made in Germany; white, non-fluted case) have four ports in the base plate and round holes in the inner metal sleeve. This suggests that Mann + Hummel GmbH likely made filters for Bosch, when Bosch sourced these filters in Europe.

A Bosch filter (#72138, black, fluted case) marked "Made in USA" has six holes in the base plate and round holes in inner metal sleeve. But that inner sleeve is of a different format than that in the Mann + Hummel product.

One question remains. Does the filter medium in oil filters deteriorate, if the filters are properly stored? The Made-in-Germany Bosch filters are in shop-worn boxes. But there's no sign of rust, etc.
