Historically these basic Motomaster filters from Canadian Tire are a basic Fram/Champ painted a different color, most all the spin on ones hail from the USA. Recently they're sporting different boxes, made in China now. Same price, $7.50 CAD

Look similar to the PG filters, my uneducated guess is that they're from Gki, a Canadian company that peddles these import filters. I'm curious as to if this will stick, and figure you all here on BITOG might find it interesting.

If they are premium guard, that makes pretty much every jobber type filter made by them. Kinda cool. Pictures below compare it to the old Fram ones.

The PartSource OE+ Pro Series have been PG filters for a while. The "equivalent" MotoMaster ones at Canadian Tire were Fram/Champ.

Different fitments seem to be made in different factories. The OE+ Pro Series ones from PartSource for two applications I buy (Ford 2.5L & 5.7 HEMI) are made in Vietnam.

The MotoMaster one in your picture looks like the regular PG, not the Extended Life ones like the PartSource OE+ Pro Series. The price seems to reflect that as well.

It looks like a PG standard oil filter, not the PG Extended Life.
I mentioned it since the pics in the post appear from the same line non extended? I tried looking at both filters and see no mention of extended or anything but you may be right.

I bet the Motomaster OEPlus will be the PG Extended Life.
I heard rumors of them ditching the separate name and just carrying the Partsource OE+ filters at Canadian Tire stores (already PG with the nice red gasket). The Partsource ones have better coverage for newer cars too, but it remains to be seen.
