motomaster OE Plus filter

This is an oil filter by canadian tire which mentions 16000km oil change interval.

The part number is MOPH9100
When I google up PH9100 it looks like its Fram Extra guard 9100 filter

But this shows a different range i.e. 5000 miles / 8000km .

Is this a typo by canadian tire and interval should be 8000 for that Motomaster OE Plus?

Just because they both have PH9100 doesn't mean they are the same filter. Motomaster probably mirrors the Fram part numbers and puts "MO" in front of the equivalant Fram part number.

You may want to read the recently posted linked thread for more information. Seems MotoM OE+ using a variation of Fram numbering system, beyond that no relationship.

IMO get yourself some Fram Ultras from Rockauto.

The Fram Extra Guard and Ultra filters I have used ended with 3387a so the OE Plus I'm using now is MOPH3387A. This is the first one I've used and it is now about 4,000 km since I put it in and works ok. Why they use fram's numbers is anybody's guess.
