Fram Endurance Cartridge Filter USA vs Mexico

I walk by the filter section at my walmart every time I go, today they seemed to have restocked my GX460s Filter (FE10158)

They had a bunch on the shelf but only 1 made the cut! the rest had excess glue. All the filters on the shelf were Made in Mexico. So it looks like what ever process they were following on the US Made filters they are doing the same in Mexico.

As for the construction it all appears the same, the only difference is the filter media on the Mexico filter is shiny in appearance and appears to be thicker when shining a flash light through it (its a bit dimmer).

In theory Frams filter manufacturing machines should be the same as they have it custom built to their specifications. I wonder how the factory in Mexican vs the USA operates day to day and if this makes a difference.
