What brakes do you guys use?

I really like my ASP Akebono pads on my daily driver. Great cold performance and they last a long time.

For my fun/weekend cars? EBC Hawk or whatever gives me the best stopping power at the cost of everything else.

I'm not real happy with my Raybestos E3's rotors and pads. They were great for about 20,000 miles and then they developed a slight shudder/pulsing. I had them turned at a local shop and they were fine for another 34,000 or so miles. I'm probably going to go with Power Stop or Centric in a few months. A lot of folks on the Rav4 Forums like the Power Stops.

My go to used to be brakes and rotors from the dealership. They would either make noise after 20k miles or the rotors would have runout problems prematurely. So now I just opt for Duralast Elite pads with Duralast Gold rotors. Warranty is the best way to go about this.

I just received my advics brake pads, first set I’ve ever ordered. The manufacturing is top notch for sure. The fronts are FG, the rears are FF. Not sure about that, but I’m sure it’s fine.

Have Raybestos E3's as well, but on a Tucson. Similar experience with shuddering, but at a much lower mileage of 14,000 km / 8,700 miles. A shame, because I really like the feel of them compared to the OEM stuff. There's still plenty of meat on them still. I can live with it if it doesn't get worse, but if it does I'll have to change them early.
