What are you eating right now?

Making some beef sticks for a get together tomorrow. It’s 60/40 beef to pork with a little fat mixed in. I seasoned them as pepper sticks with a little jalapeño. Hopefully they turn out good.

Just my $0.02

Daughter called and is bringing Stromboli over later. She and the best friend are making it for the NE/CO football game tonight.

She is a big Cornhuster fan, for some reason. Don't know where she got that. I don't even care for football. :(

Filet mignon on the BGE with the In-laws.

Reverse seared: 275f indirect cooking until internal temps got to 105f then took off to rest while I took the convector out for direct cooking and got Egg temp to 650f and seared for 1 min on each side. Rotating them at 30 seconds.

Nice rare steaks on the thicker cuts and medium rare on the thinner ones.

Also, sweet potatoes in aluminum for a bit.

Good lord people!! That is some **** fine food!!!

We went to some friends for supper. They made brisket and beef ribs in their homemade outdoor fire pit and homemade apple, rhubarb crisp. It was amazing!! No pictures but rest assured I ate copious amounts and now am over full and 100% of the way to useless.

Scrambled egg, potatoes and sausage and Canadian bacon casserole from church. Big container of it I took home from church this morning too. Delicious and Rutters brand coffee

I make sure to eat a good part of my daily plant matter uncooked because cooking tends to denature enzymes that we require. While the body can make all the enzymes required for digestion, supplying functional enzymes makes digestion easier and more complete.

Murky lighting in my tent
