What are you eating right now?

I'm such a lazy cook - especially when I cook for myself. Today's thigh, fungus and veg was all cooked in a saucepan. The thigh went in with all the fat because I was too lazy to io oil the pan. I sauteed the breast until brown and lipped it. Salt, pepper, mystery spices. Turned down the heat. Added mushrooms, and slapped the lid on. After 5 minutes I stirred a little and added carrots and green onion. Let it cook for another 5 minutes. The veg released water and the chicken stayed juicy being cooked in essentially veg broth. 15 minutes to make and only 3 minutes of work.

I actually stirred food together and it's in the crockpot now for tonight. Some will probably turn up their nose, but I like the dish.

First I sliced up a ring of kielbasa sausage. The drained a jar of sauerkraut and dumped on top. (some member here makes homemade, but failed to send a jar) Then added a small sliced up onion. Then dumped a jar of chunky Pace Hot Salsa over the top.

Better yet with a slice of homemade bread, to sop up the juices.

Let the fun begin..... :D

Sausage and kraut is great; no neeed for salsa IMO. Should be good nonetheless

Sounds great! It would also work well over some noodles, mashed potatoes or grits.

The evidence has already been consumed but tonight I made musubi sushi burritos. They're a sheet of nori (seaweed sushi wrapper) wrapped burrito style around seasoned sushi rice, and other toppings. Tonight's were daikon radish, pickled onion and carrots, cucumber and musubi style Spam (fried in sweetened soy sauce), with furikake rice seasoning sprinkles on top.

Food assembly isn't something to ridicule. You made do with what you had. You should have invited your abutting lady friend for dinner!
