How is this one compared to the gold standard, Nutella? Everytime I secretly try to fool the family with an imposter, I get caught!

Also, is this product of Belgium, Germany or Italy?
surprisingly it does not say its origins on the label; however, the distributer is located somewhere in VA, Lidl US

I personally do not eat stuff like this often (I'm 45) but it is not far off Nutella; I'd say if you remove the label you'd hardly find the difference

Before this hazelnut/cocoa spread I got once close a Nutella like spread with traces of hazelnuts at Lidl but I've visited the place couple times since and it is nowhere to be found

Started making all day easy chili colorado this am.

EDIT: 1 pound of organic local stew beef browned in grapeseed oil

. 1 whole onion in chunks and 5 cloves of garlic. Into the Instant Pot in slow cook mode low for 10 hours with pictured spices and such (only used 1/2 beer to start). Add some peppers in big chunks the last hour or so

When meat is tender take out any chunks of pepper, large onion chunks. Blend with some of the beer, corn starch, corn meal and manioc meal/flour if you have it. Sorta make a thick paste. Return to meat and cook for a little while on higher heat until thick sauce.

Served over brown basmati rice cooked with EVOO'd sundried tomatoes, avocado and lime wedges.

Interesting, I will check it out next time I'm in the USA. I've done blind taste tests and my family always picks out the Nutella. Worst imposter of them all is the Kraft (Heinz) product, absolute garbage.
I hear you; majority of domestic brands are just for you to stay away
