Made scones this am with rye flour

I messed with the recipe a little.

I put in some almond flour and heavy cream powder, increased the wet stuff a hair
I used 75% butter, 25% coconut fat (by weight)
Instead of brown sugar I use 60% date sugar, 20% half sugar and 20% molasses (by weight)
Instead of buttermilk (we are out!!) I used a liquid mixture of yogurt, half-half and lemon juice and as noted increased the liquid by maybe a couple tablespoons
Tiny bit extra baking powder

Dough mixture was exactly as described, baking took an extra 5-6 minutes. But tender, light and tasty - a wholesome rich flavor
