Burger and fries at The Asylum Bar and Grill in Lewisburg West Virginia. Me and dad were going to get beer till we seen the prices. Not paying for one what we can get a whole 6 pack for lol.

Frozen Red Baron supreme pizza. In the oven now. Was in a broasted chicken mood, but no way to get out and go a few blocks and pick it up.

Smoked kippers with nori and natto is my late afternoon snack. I'll have dinner later than I usually do so I need a little something. Had to rinse the herrings to remove some of the salt.

Pasta allo Scarpariello which is a simple, quick pasta dish in a sauce made from cherry tomatoes, a bit of garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and torn basil. I added a small amount of crushed Calabrian sweet chili pepper to the dish and rained some fresh-grated Reggiano Parmigiano over it all. Sorry, no pics as I loaned my camera to a friend so she could photograph her visiting family.

You’ve been bitten by the Calabrian bug. I’ll be there October!

I've been making this dish since about 1980, and only a few days ago did I learn it's a traditional Italian recipe. You introduced me to the Pasta Grammar site where Eva prepared the dish. Because of what I learned, it seemed that Calabrian chile would be appropriate.

I pretty much stopped using cayenne about 10 years ago after discovering Aleppo pepper, and soon thereafter I started exploring other chilies such as Kashmiri, Urfa Biber that some friends brought back from Turkey, Tien Tsin, a Northern California variety of the Basque Piment d'Espelette (Oh, My!), Goat Horn, Dukkah, and many others.

Thank you for the link to Pasta Grammar (y)

Golden Crisp cereal as a midnight snack. Not as good as they used to be I guess too many complaints of them being too sweet. They also used to be called something like Sugar Smacks or something. Still good though. Too bad we didn’t have any Honey Comb that’s what I really hoped for.
