What are you eating right now?

All that talk about Vegemite gave me a late night craving. A generous coating of Vegemite on a toasted and buttered slice of Dave's Killer Bread. That'll make your hair grow!

I gotta order some and try this Amazon best place or where else you find it

Mortadella is basically baloney with chunks of fat thrown in. I personally do not like it.

My experience working in my family's restaurant stops me from making fun of any legit food product.

I did work in a deli with mortadella and about 60 other cold cuts. I NEVER EVER sold any. We'd periodically shave the browned surface off the

loaf. Finally, one day, someone with brains and sensitivity (Ahem) whispered into the boss's ear, "Why do you keep ordering this?"

It finally went away.

Nope. Never even heard of it actually lol.
Bologna sausage is the American version of Italian mortadella. While American Bologna sausage is made from beef and pork, probably offal and filtering organ meat, Italian mortadells is made only from pork and finely cubed pork fat. The American product must be finely ground and smooth by law, probably to make sure nobody finds gristle. It's basically a giant hotdog. Italian mortadella, which originated in Bologna, comes in many regional variants. In my opinion, American Bologna is a meat product worse than Spam. Italian mortadells is on a whole different level. You can get it at any decent deli. If they don't have it try German mortadella which is also quite good. Do yourself a favor and try mortsdella!

Oh you know come to think of it I think I have tried it once before. Our BJ’s sells it in the deli and my dad has gotten it before. After I heard the description of what it was I realized I have had it before. I like bologna I don’t fully remember what the mortadella taste like.

Yes, BJ's sells it. There's actually has pistacchio in it which is an Italian variety made in USA by Citterio. Mortadella has to be eaten sliced razor thin, almost shaved, not sliced like salami, and has to be eaten the same day. I always get some when in the US because it's hard to find here because of nut allergies.

Yeah we got some and ate it in a few days not the same day though. Guess it was ok cause we are still alive LOL.

I was lazy and had peanut chicken with some Korean chili sauce drizzled on it over green salad and a bit cucumber salad. I made the peanut chicken by spicing the chicken strips with lemon juice, pepper, and salt, and then I rolled them in powdered peanut butter. Then I fried them in 50/50 olive oil and coconut oil.
