Forgot to take a picture cause I was hungry but having my usual Dagwood Sandwich for lunch. I seem to be the only one at work who knows what that is besides all the old guys lol. My mom sure does load them up for me. Chicken, ham, turkey, pepperoni, cheese. Man it’s so good. Sometimes I’ll have roast beef and salami and other stuff on it too. Either way so good. And pretzels and apple sauce to go with it. And I eat a bag of Hostess Powdered Donuts and some teriyaki beef jerky throughout the day as well cause I get hungry.
Gosh, I’d love to see a pic of you when your 40 years old 🙊🙊💩

^ I ate like that past 40, still looked 30. Depends on staying active. Still I cut back some, closer to 60 you're looking at heart attack risk and considering sodium.

Lunch today was leftover pizza, leftover 1/2 stuffed pepper w/garnishments, raw vegetables like pepper/cauliflower/broccoli, banana, pear. I highly prefer leftovers for lunch, quick to reheat vs fixing something from scratch.

Genetics have a lot to do with what a person can get away with. Genetic predisposition for diseases, gene expression, and lifestyle choices are intertwined with no guaranties. I believe that one should generally strive to make the best out of what one was given.

Most of my dishes contain some leftovers from previous meals. I also prepare meals with my future menu in mind. It sure saves time and effort.

I mean, I’m no health expert nor am I a skinny Minnie. But god; I never ate what AutoMechanic was and didn’t drink pop all the time. At 40, I’m healthy, blood psi is good and I donate platelets which show me a ton of info. I do enjoy few beers here and there but I also don’t go to bar either

I was taught nutrition at an early age. That doesn't mean I don't occasionally eat something nutritionally questionable but those are rare occasions. I like where I am in terms of health and I intend to remain in good shape as long as possible. You can't teach an old dog new tricks and the same goes for humans.

If I had to rate my nutrition as objectively as I can, and tied into my physical level of activity, I'd say 70% excellent, 20% acceptable, 10% substandard - going by my criteria.

Today I made a casserole for lunch. Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, onion, eggs, ground pork, bacon, powdered porcini, spices Swiss cheese. I like a nice cheese crust. This is one of my last few meals here. I started moving into my new place last weekend and should be all done by Sunday.

Made deconstructed pot pies, seen a recipe on a YouTube Channel, The Wolfe Pit the other day, about making a pot pie on a budget, and I thought what if I just made the filling a spooned it over a split biscuit like biscuits and gravy, so I did that, the filling consisted of left over rotisserie chicken, a can of Cream of Chicken soup, a bag of Kroger frozen soup vegetables, and a few splashes of chicken broth to loosen it since I was cooking it in a sauce pan versus the original recipe which was baked in the oven and he didn't recommend adding additional liquid since the vegetables give off some but in my sauce pan it was getting a little too sticky and I was afraid of burning it.

Had a "Chicago Style" deep dish a Pizzaria Uno in Lexington, SC with my Wife last night. She liked the atmosphere.

The pizza was well above average for South Carolina, but the crust was not nearly as good as I remember when eating a pizza traveling through Chicago. But compared to most pizzas in South Carolina, we were very happy.

Lunch. The beef patty looiks reddish because it ciotains powdered beets. Some of the potatoes look burnt because they are the purple variety. Mozzarella with tomatoes.

VVR,

Going to have to give you a rare non-thumbs up to your "what are you eating".

Fresh mozzarella and tomatoes can get olive oil, balsamic vinegar, basil...... but onions, even green onions are a NO-GO..... with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes.... sorry, but had to be said.
