@AutoMechanic could easily sit down and look at how much money is spent on unnecessary stuff. That's the first place to start for anyone trying to get spending under control. What's the monthly income vs what's only the necessary cash outflow needed to pay for necessary stuff like a car loan, rent, monthly bills, etc. What would you do if you had to pay rent and utility bills when money is spent on frivious items? Identify the spending on that kind of stuff. That gives the basic left over money to save and not blow on junk.
