What are you doing right now?

Trying to get up the motivation to head to the post office to check my box for mail and then to Menards to "Save Big Money."

Been feeling "off" for a couple of days and my get-up-and-go has got-up-and-went.
Been there...... yesterday 😆

10K Memorial Day trail run in with the wife. We go up over the hill yet for the turn around great fun.

Just got out of the shower. Watching YouTube tool and car videos now. Going to try to make it to Northern Tool tomorrow or Monday and price out a couple of things on my needs list. Compare prices there versus eBay and vs Tekton and Capri.

@Number_35 I have to keep in decent shape for work but also, I like being in shape, you can enjoy everything better.... if that makes sense. I have had some reoccurring injuries that keep resetting me. My new work schedule is more balanced so I will likely get back into martial arts. I like a functional workout.

@R18Civic love the Lego! I grew up with that stuff in the 80s, as did my brother's in the 70s. As a kid it really helped my spacial analysis and general building skills. As an adult, its still a great hobby. Gets your mind off everything and having a finished product at the end is key. Some of my good friends still build. Its great for PTSD etc. Good stuff!

He could make way more than he does but he is picky about runs. I make more than him and my mom combined for two weeks if that says anything. This week was the most he’s made in years. His company takes 35% of each check for use of a trailer and other stuff.
Just so I'm clear, you have a sub-600 credit score and just refinanced your debt and your vehicle and you are in better financial shape than both of your parents, that you live with still?

No judgement, but this sounds like an incredibly precarious financial situation. I'm not giving you advice, but I do think it might be wise for you to sit down with a financial planner, because a rogue fart could push this house of cards over.

I agree honestly. They have been drowning trying to pay all their back taxes they owe. I’m trying to fix my financial situation and get everything under control so I can either buy a house or at least a garage on some land or take my parents offer to fix up our house and can build the garage I want because they have already made their will for me to get the house when they are gone. It’s been a challenge to stay disciplined and not buy wants but I’ve managed it pretty well. Talked to my friend who is a financial nerd but not a professional advisor or anything. Certainly not opposed to sitting down with one either.

I think sitting down with an objective party would be in your best interest. Explain your goals, and they can look at what you have coming in and going out and advise you accordingly.
