What are you doing right now?

@AutoMechanic could easily sit down and look at how much money is spent on unnecessary stuff. That's the first place to start for anyone trying to get spending under control. What's the monthly income vs what's only the necessary cash outflow needed to pay for necessary stuff like a car loan, rent, monthly bills, etc. What would you do if you had to pay rent and utility bills when money is spent on frivious items? Identify the spending on that kind of stuff. That gives the basic left over money to save and not blow on junk.

@Number_35 I have to keep in decent shape for work but also, I like being in shape, you can enjoy everything better.... if that makes sense. I have had some reoccurring injuries that keep resetting me. My new work schedule is more balanced so I will likely get back into martial arts. I like a functional workout.

@R18Civic love the Lego! I grew up with that stuff in the 80s, as did my brother's in the 70s. As a kid it really helped my spacial analysis and general building skills. As an adult, its still a great hobby. Gets your mind off everything and having a finished product at the end is key. Some of my good friends still build. Its great for PTSD etc. Good stuff!
Brian, I used to enter a lot of running races. I was never very fast, but did complete 13 marathons, a number of half marathons, and a lot of 5- and 10-K races. It was good fun, good socially, and helped keep the circumference down.

I broke a leg skiing in February 2018, so that was it for running. I do weights 3x/week and cycle all year, but still miss running.

Our grandson is 6 and is crazy about Lego, so I've been building a lot with him over the past couple of years. We've had a great time together.

I'm an old space nerd, and really sorry I missed out on the Saturn V and LM kits.

It’s a paid holiday for me today. We were hoping to grill out but the rain has canceled those plans so far. I was also planning on working on dad’s truck to do more exhaust work and fix the lights but the rain may also cancel those plans.

Just received an email from that lab testing company...I was serious...
Who named this place ????

We just got Dairy Queen food and now going to Northern Tool to check prices on some tools I need. All my other mechanic friends are working today and told me they are jealous I’m like well this is why you should work at a dealership like I do lol.

Mowed Mom's yard. Did mine yesterday so that means I've gotten both sets of yardwork clothes dirty/sweaty so...wait for it...more laundry. Actually waiting on the dryer at this point. I'm debating whether to go wander around in a bit.

I agree honestly. They have been drowning trying to pay all their back taxes they owe. I’m trying to fix my financial situation and get everything under control so I can either buy a house or at least a garage on some land or take my parents offer to fix up our house and can build the garage I want because they have already made their will for me to get the house when they are gone. It’s been a challenge to stay disciplined and not buy wants but I’ve managed it pretty well. Talked to my friend who is a financial nerd but not a professional advisor or anything. Certainly not opposed to sitting down with one either.

I know I should mind my own business, but if they really want their assets to go to certain people uncontested, they need a fully funded Trust. Meaning assets are titled in the Trust, and it is properly filled out AND signed.

Wills can be challenged in court. Which all becomes public.

A fully funded Trust bypasses the courts, and can save time, cost, and maintains your privacy. It can shield their assets from creditors, lawsuits, or mismanagement by beneficiaries.

This is important if they care what happens to their assets when they're gone.
