What are you doing right now?

I replaced the ENTER keycap on my Razer keyboard because I damaged the keycap by hitting it too hard with my gorilla fingers. The center part that engages the switch has broken. The replacement keycap came with a different style of clips so I swapped them out for the ones from the old keycap. They were glued in and after I first applied a little lighter fluid with a cotton swab to soften the glue I could carefully get them out without any damage. I unceremoniously ripped out and trashed the clips from the new keycap as they don't work with my keyboard.

The new keycap with the old clips installed is the one at the top. The one at the bottom has a damaged center cross-slot. A sliver has splintered off in the keycap not engaging the switch properly.

I might be on vacation but still going to meetings... some day I'll this thing called "boundaries" and "work-life balance". Wrapped up my one meeting of the day, sent out an RFQ, hopefully they don't respond with a quote (that I'll then feel obliged to do something with).

Perusing CL for the next vehicle. Not sure what I want. Not finding much of anything "new" on there. Waiting for it to warm up outside a bit, have some outside chores to do. Should wrap some presents.

Exploratory surgery? Good luck, hope it's nothing to be concerned about and they take care of it well.

Not sure, it sounds like that depends somewhat on what they find when cutting it open.
It has grown from about the size of my fist yesterday, to a fist and a half today.

It's Wednesday. Any news? I finished up some unfinished business and have off till next Thursday. I have to get ready for the trip to my parents' place.

Infection, or as I was told 'really bad infection '.
They drained a lot of puss and blood, also took a biopsy and sent it to a lab for a check to make sure it isn't cancerous.
I have 2 antibiotics, and go back next week for a check up.

I know nothing about antibiotics, but this is what they gave me.

Fingers crossed. You should notice an improvement in 3 days or so. You may want to get some yogurt with live cultures because the ABX will affect your intestinal flora negatively. Some of the cultures will make it past the stomach acid. Wait with eating the yogurt until you have finished the ABX.

This.

Get better.

Then get your gut bacteria back. In fact, research and pursue with vigor. I didn't at first, messed me up!

I initially forgot to add to hold off on eating dairy while on these ABX. There could be an interaction. But once done with the ABX, dairy with live cultures will help reestablish the biome.

Watching TV, Corner Gas is on, checking on this website, just loaded and started the dishwasher, and really should be out walking my dog, but feel lazy.

Just at work on lunch break. Me and my coworker decided to get corn dogs for lunch. They were good. I’m ready for it to be Friday so we have a long weekend lol. I’m ready for Christmas already. I’m so excited to open presents and spend time with family.

Wasting time car shopping. I think I have settled on just replacing my car with another like it, once I find it.

In the meantime, its been a breezy day and kinda cool, below freezing, so I’ve had little interest in getting outside. Done approximately nothing today.

My boss just left, he came to visit, check on me, brought me a Christmas card, Christmas bonus, and year end performance bonus.

Told him that we are going to get married this summer in my yard, and he offered to let us use his place. His house is incredible, and yard is like a beautiful park.
I said that would be great, thanks.
I'm blown away by his generosity!

Fixing some broke stuff, getting quotes and figuring out the impossible.. all in the same hour. And on less than 4 hours of sleep, being on call isn't fun. Work has been crazy lately. I'm about to send a exorcist to one location.

Getting ready to go eat then go to Walmart so I can finish my Christmas shopping. Parents want a new knife set for the kitchen so I plan to get them one. I just hope these don’t all end up in the drawer like the last two sets and then I reach in and have a knife point under my finger nail lol. Got dad some hats for his individual gift and probably will get mom some ear rings or a necklace or something.

Being PO'd over my son's college grades. Yes I floundered my freshman year too. But I was one the hook for the bill--and now I'm footing the bill for his too. So I am feeling the sting of a bad investment. Haven't figured out how I'll handle it, so I'm stewing in silence and avoiding the family for the evening. That's on top of hating car shopping And realizing that I really don't want to travel for the holiday next week.

Toying with playing with some electronics, found a design for an audio filter that I should try out, just have to build it first. Maybe order some laptop parts.
