Yeah. Took me awhile to get used to them. I first started liking them in the car since the dash was in focus just by moving my eyes down and not my whole head. Just around in general? I started treating them like reading glasses.Trying my new pair of progressive glasses. Do. Not. Like. Prefer not wearing altogether as nothing seems right. I guess they work, as long as I don’t expect anything to be in focus.
Cold winter days! only another three month.
Replaced the power cord on a brand new vacuum. VERY SWEET modification. More ampacity AND more flexibility AND better looking than cheapie cord. Not so hard to do.
Installed a back spacer (gap filler) behind the new range. Triangle thing and used Gorilla DS tape. Strong!! Nice looking and no gap!
Replaced a rough edge finish fridge shelf with a brand new nice warranty replacement. Took our dealer around a week.

Could use your expertise on our old vac upstairs. Got some black tape around a place on the cord. If you're not careful it will bite you.

Are you near or far sighted ... or not good a either? If you are far sighted, and just need "reading glasses" just get some at Walmart or a drug store.

I gave my last Niagara Falls walking tour of the season this afternoon, 8 people actually wanted to go on the boat cruise today. It’s the last day for the boat until the spring (depending upon how frozen the lower river gets, it might be running again in March or it might be as late as the second week of May like it was this year)
My girlfriend and I were supposed to go to a New Year’s Eve party tonight but the host canceled it because her boyfriend is sick. I’m kinda glad to just stay in tonight because we’re supposed to get 10cm of snow

Near sighted. My reading prescription is almost neutral—but still a negative number, so for prescription readers I have to order them. I usually just flip my glasses off.
Now that I think about it, I’m reading my iPad without glasses but with it about six inches from my face. I often read books while wearing my regular glasses, but at a farther distance.
Watched the daughter perform in a short dance performance, locl community event. Came home, had some leftover Chinese. Watching Back to the Future.
Hoping to be asleep long before the ball drops. Pretty sure the new year will come, whether I am watching or not.

Just picked up my Chinese food and dad got orange juice because he wants to make fuzzy navels tonight for the ball drop. I personally prefer beer or whiskey or tequila or a pina colada or margarita so I’ll work some sort of concoction lol. Everyone I know is going to parties tonight except me and a few others. Our street is loaded with people at two of the neighbors houses. The last ball drop I remember missing is 2007 I’ve watched everyone from 2008 and up from what I can remember.

My girlfriend and I are in our comfy pants watching Breaking Bad and she is making popcorn right now. We will probably be fast asleep before midnight although maybe we’ll set an alarm for 11:59 and then go back to sleep at 12:01

I’m walking the dog. I found my people lol. Neighbor having a new years party is jamming Christmas music. Finally someone that agrees with me and mom that it should be played thru New Year’s Day. I never have been a partier but I’d happily join for the music lol. I haven’t listened to regular music since probably mid November.
When I get back inside I’ve got to go hide in my room till about 11:30 or maybe 11:59 because mom is going off on me and dad about how she hasn’t gotten a RAV4 in 2025 and now has to wait till 2026. She starts acting strange once people around her get new cars or something that’s newer than what she has. She’s always been that way it runs on her side of the family lol. Hopefully she goes and buys it tomorrow and calms down.

Stuff is open tomorrow? I thought most things are closed... anyhow, if she can swing the payments, good for her. My wife just went back to work but that was to pay for college bills. Am guessing that once that is out of the way, then she'll be paying for her next car, as it'll be about time I think.
My wife isn't big on new cars. She likes to balance our checkbook and knows what it costs. Now if I could just finagle more than a twenty per week for my allowance...

My dealership sales department is open tomorrow for the red tag sale. Every other department there is closed for a paid holiday. Most dealerships aren’t open at all though. I think moms gotten past the new phone thing she was on for awhile once I got my new car she dropped the newest phone thing and started rambling about getting a car. At first she was jealous I had a newer phone than her then I got my car and she started talking about that all of a sudden. She said she can only afford $200-$300 a month. I told her that I don’t expect her to be able to get a RAV4 with that low of payments especially a 2021 like she’s looking at and with mid credit and no down payment. But if she can get it like that then by all means I encourage her to get it.
A $20K loan at 8% for 5 years (60 months) will be around $395/month. Higher loan and/or higher interest rate of course means a higher payment. What's the price they are asking for that RAV4? Got some vehicles to trade in or sell to offset the cost?
