Finished up a short 4 day work week and onto 5 days off. I went on an evening quad ride and came across some dumb prairie chickens. Nothing much but I enjoy just putting around outside.

Carolyn's issue is so bad that they can't do anything for her but make her comfortable.

My friend puts her on the phone with me and she says she was sorry she didn't get to see me In August and we have a short chat. She tells me it is what it is and they are going to make me comfortable.

Acceptance only a 88 year old has.
What life dishes out is very cruel at times... I knew the call was nothing good...

I’m helping mom in the kitchen make our Thanksgiving dinner for here. We were supposed to go to my dads side of the family for Thanksgiving but he rolled out of the bed about 11 this morning and said he didn’t feel like going over there anymore so he told them we’d see them at Christmas. I understand not wanting to drive 200 miles but also it’s your family so I’m a bit unhappy with that but oh well. Mom is complaining because she wants to go to my dealership and buy a new car as she said she’s pretty jealous of me having something newer than her so she’s convinced tomorrow she’s going to buy a RAV4 lol. We went and looked at the one she wanted yesterday on the lot and she loves it but it’s an XLE and almost $10,000 more than mine was and it’s the same year. I want her to be happy but I don’t think she’s going to get what she wants out of her car for trade in.

I gave a Niagara Falls walking tour this morning to a very nice couple from PA (they live in the Poconos actually) It was just above the freezing point and windy so I’m surprised they still wanted to do the boat cruise to the Horseshoe Falls but they were dressed very warmly for it. They were very happy with the tour and asked for some of our business cards so I think they will be repeat customers, possibly doing a winery tour next time they come I had expected that the Thanksgiving weekend would be very busy with tours but I think the cold weather is scaring people away I do have a tour on Monday afternoon as well though and there’s still plenty of time for people to book tomorrow or Sunday if they want

Recovering after running my new Echo chainsaw for several hours today quartering some huge Hackberry logs. My back is no bueno. New chainsaw is a champ. I put a full chisel chain on it, and it rips.

We are going to Walmart because we are bored out of our minds. We miss the days stores were open 24/7. I would love to be at a parts store looking around like we used to be back in the day when we had a 24 hour parts store.

I went to Walmart today to get some groceries. I figured it was going to be a zoo because it was Black Friday. It seemed like every 3rd person was wearing a Walmart vest, but only a typical amount of shoppers. It felt like Black Friday might have been kind of a bust this year.

This store we are at is still packed and cops are everywhere lol. I remember back when I was a kid at this very Walmart I watched a lady get punched and thrown into a shelf over an Xbox on Black Friday. It was insane I’m glad it’s not that intense anymore though. The two guys that done it got taken out of there with no Xbox so they lost out too lol.
