Waiting on pops to get home cause he has a hungry family waiting on him lol. I done ate the whole thing of coffee ice cream plus half a loaf of raisin bread. And a few chips ahoy cookies. I know it’s junk food but that’s all we have. I’m a hungry young man I need my food after working 11 hours. I eat my healthy stuff at lunch like carrots and celery. Now it’s past 8 so not much around here will be open time he gets here. I want Chinese food but I guarantee I’m not getting it lol. I paid $90 for us to all have Japanese the other night but it was worth it. One of those places they cook in front of you. I’m not doing that again for awhile though lol 😂. And I’m watching YouTube as well tool and car videos.

Just fixed my Ring Doorbell. The little power booster that came with it died. Got a new one of those and it worked again. Whoever built the house put the transformer for the doorbell in some inaccessible location, never to be seen.
Been there, had to do what you did. I converted to solar. Only had to manually charge 3 times last year.

Took mommas car in to have the tires rotated and balanced at Les Schwab. ;)

Having some lunch and wondering if my Crape Myrtle will survive this.

I was going to add, my parents' neighbor had these huge crape myrtles that were literally the size of live oaks. They survived the freeze of 1983, where it got into the teens for at least two weeks. I think crape myrtles are the official trees of Texas, and have always been my favorite(y). What color is yours? Hers are red.

To clarify, I was concerned more about the bending, and possible breakage. It survived last February with our 0 degee weather for days, I was just hoping the ice wouldn't break it and kill it. It's a very pretty dark red when it blooms. The hummingbirds love to hang out in it between their trips to the feeders, so I'd be sad to see it go.

We've seen most of the palm trees around the Houston area coming back from that freeze. I remember that winter back in 1983 killing all of the palm trees around the Texas coast. The beaches were even frozen so far out that we actually walked out on the frozen ocean. That was a trip!

Today I cleaned up around the house, washed bedsheets and blankets, took a walk which I haven't done in quite some time, washed a load of clothes, and presently I've been watching some YouTube videos.

Put a couple miles on the old Ghost. The drifts were pretty decent along the windbreaks and I didn't get stuck..... this time. Alos got a call from an area snowmobile wrecking yard. They may have some bogie springs for my Evinrude, which will be nice.
