I work on cars and my workplace doesn’t require steel toes

Ours doesn’t really “require” it but they do make you sign a waiver if you get hurt without them that they aren’t responsible so it’s worth it to me to have them. They have saved me a few times.

Steel toes are really uncomfortable I wear them because I didn't want anything said to me but I sometimes suspect that people don't wear them, for comfort, which probably helps them be safer, in the form of natural movement.

Today I cleaned the bathroom, went to town to the hardware store for lightbulbs, went to Dollar General for hand soap, body wash and hot chocolate mix, got back home and put together a crock pot full of chili, installed lightbulbs, then ran the generator for about fifteen minutes to keep things circulated. Now I've just finished a bowl of chili, and I'm drinking some coffee.

Today I closed the deal on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. I'm leaving it with the previous owner for some upgrades, should take delivery of it towards the end of next week. Got home and brought some wood in for a fire tomorrow in the hearth. I wanted to go to the range tomorrow, but that may have to wait until Sunday. Heating up some leftover chili now and making a small pot of coffee.

Well, that was about as boring as I remember. Stopped by a Walmart on the way home. First time I've been in a Walmart in probably three years, picked up a few things and now I'm back home. Got a nice hot shower, then got a fire going. Thinking about what I'm going to do for dinner.

Sitting here bored. I want to go get more tools for work or look for them but don’t want to make my parents take me to any tool places like they have the last few weekends lol. And I won’t drive unless I absolutely have too so that’s out of the question haha.

Getting breakfast at Bojangles then have to go grease dads truck and check and make sure I have the right size socket and wrench for the shocks in case I have to buy one. But it’s ok if I have to buy one because it’s an excuse to get more tools haha.
