congratulations.

We discovered (to our surprise) about 3 years ago that we were to be parents...was life changing, and has been an extraordinary experience. Our daughter is an absolute delight.

A year ago, we found ourselves in the same situation, and a baby brother was born.

After seeing it first hand, I'd not wish twins on any woman.

Congrats again...it is a great ride, and leaves you feeling very very proud...everyday.

Two years of hard work pay off. More Kongrats!

PS: Pablo, how did that feller make moderator? He ain't single, he is still virile -- how did he do it?

Congrats, your in for one heck of a ride (a good ride). Love those babies because they won't be babies for long. My 5th just completed his 2nd year of college. Here was my experience with 3 boys and 2 girls. When they are little, girls will be daddy's girls, until they find out what lipstick is, then there mama's girls, until they figure out you got more money than mama, then they are yours again. On the other hand, little boys are mama's boys, until they figure out you have the car keys. I have never regreted for one moment my 5 kids.

Pablo: goodoleboy is a midwest and southern thing, kind of like bubba. Now I am almost 60 and I love my kids, but there ain't no way at my age I would do it over again. Now I just love those grandkids, then send them home.

Fantastic! Congratulations to you and your family!

Past performance is no guarantee of future results. joee12's 6 months of little sleep was my 3 months. Guy I work with has a 3 year old that doesn't let him sleep through the night still.

I ain't gonna lie to you, the sleep deprivation, combined with mild paranoia about doing something wrong made for a very difficult first 3 months... you'll be *amazed* at what you can tolerate with a good night's sleep under your belt!

That said, my wife and I are talking about doing it all over again

Yup, it's amazing!

Congrats again!

Congrats! Sounds like you're ready for it. I'm with Johnny ..I'm a granddad at 49 and can't imagine going through it again. Child rearing is a career for the young ..although I do get to be a ..how do they say it now?? ...alternative care giver for a day or two every week or so for the evening.

Best wishes for healthy and happy experience!

Congrats! I'm 56 with an 8 year old and a 4 year old. Having kids is lots of work, but well worth it. It's much harder at my advanced age.

They grow up very quickly, so

Enjoy,

Jack

congrats

i'm trying to figure out when to have kids. my wife's been wanting them since we got married. i'm 24 and she's 22. Maybe we should just go for it. only thing is, i want to make a career change in 2 years (get out of the coast guard)

congrats again

Congratulations!!

The 9 months of pregnancy and 1.5 years of my son's life have been the most amazing and wonderful years of my life. I hope you and your wife enjoy every minute of the experience. Keep us posted on how things are progressing.

Congrats and best wishes!

Twins!?!
When I was expecting my second child, and folks would say "What do you want a boy or a girl? Oh I know, just so long as it's healthy" My reply was "just so long as there is just ONE!"
On the other hand, my great grandmother, who had two sets of twins, always said "What's the fuss about twins? A baby takes up all your time, how could twins do more?"

It seems like there is a very short time that parents get a good night's sleep.

Not much time between when your little one is finally letting you sleep thru the night and when you're up all night wondering when she's going to get home from a date.

ThI want to thank everyone for the kind words. We are already talking (fighting) over names. I wil keep everyone posted on how things are going. She is eating alot now at 2 weeks is that normal?
