Well I try to use top quality parts on this truck as I do want to hold on to it, so I'll probably get a new aftermarket pump & check with the local Chevy dealership for the rest of the stuff.

I started back working on the Tahoe again this evening. Started by replacing the AC Idler pulley & now I'm having a time getting the new one on right. When I pulled the old pulley off, there was a large washer which went in front of the pulley, the pulley itself, a round metal insert that fitted inside the bearing and went out to the back & a rubber o-ring. I tried reinstalling it just like it came out & when I cranked the truck, that pulley didn't spin.

I also came across something relating to the AC problem that is the reason I took the truck to the shop in the first place. Freon appears to be leaking from the back of my compressor, where one of the switches screws in. Does that mean I have to replace the entire compressor, or can just the o-ring where the switch screws in be replaced?

I know that on some vehicles (VW) you can buy the pressure switches separately. Check with your GM dealership and see what they say.
There is an O-Ring that seals the switch to the compressor. Could be a leakintg switch too.
