Have you forgoten the price at the pump? Trying to force "Green" on everybody.

I'll never go 10k oci's. I'm hard on my car, race it, and I actually enjoy working on it. Plus I'm not gonna run myself into the poorhouse doing it. Doing shorter oci's is cheaper than the therapy I'd need to stop doing them, LOL.

Plus, I have friends that are maintenace retarded. It get's done when something breaks because they just don't pay attention to it and don't have the extra cash. I've given one of my friends the oil out of my car to put into his. Some people wouldn't do that, but my 3k M1 EP is better for their car than going forever and a freaking day on the 79 cent trash oil they'll buy if they go get it themselves. So that's kind of recycling it I guess.

You lost me there somewhere. I complain about the oil companies and you reply asking if I've forgoten the price at
the pump? What's your point? Or is that as consise as the details get?

Governments make far more per gallon pumped through their heavy taxation for doing nothing, then oil companies make drilling, shipping, refining and shipping again..

There is talk about gas taxes raised even more as a way to get people to drive less, more fuel efficient cars, move closer to their work and take mass transit.

I could be wrong but I assume that is what the poster was writing about.

BTW The $45.2 billion profit figure Exxon made in 2008 makes a snappy headline, but the $116.2 billion in taxes that it paid is relegated to a footnote—if that. Exxon's tax bill breaks down like this: income taxes, $36.5 billion; sales-based taxes, $34.5 billion; "all other" taxes, $45.2 billion

We're going broke because we're willingly transferring all our wealth to the Middle East for the sake of motoring freedom, and to China so we can pay 3 cents less for widget X at walmart.
