I recall this subject being discussed a number of times over the years......
One would be hard pressed to prove that is does or does not work.
"My temp gauge stayed the same", well.....it should, the coolant temperature is maintained by the thermostat.
So one should NOT expect to add this type of product to their coolant and expect to see their temperature gauge suddenly stay at a lower level under NORMAL driving conditions......so if that is what you are looking for......you are most likely going to be disappointed.
I DO believe (only my opinion) that the product does what it says, Improves heat TRANSFER between metal and the coolant.
This would help in heat transfer INTO the coolant from the hot parts of the motor......and it would help in heat transfer OUT OF the coolant in the radiator.
To determine if it was working or not in a particular application, one would need to somehow monitor the temperature at a hot metal location under identical operating conditions with and without the water wetter.
I also recall a post where someone got a response from Redline, that the "separation" of the anti-corrosion additives is NOT harmful in any way.
I have confidence in Redline and what they say about their products.
I am not convinced that I need it in my particular application so I am not using it at this time.
I did use the normal water wetter in a vehicle a while back.....and it certainly did not harm anything.
So.....in answer to the original question.....I would be fully confident that this product would cause no harm in the G-05 / Motorcraft GOLD coolant.
If one has any questions?......then, from what I have read, one can go to the Redline Oil Company website and they have a way that you can ask them a question directly.....and they will get back to you and be honest and very informative.
