Water 'type' in pre-mixes?

Why do some people have trouble identifying snake oil when they see it? Does my engineering background make me immediately laugh at moronic claims?

Same here!
I have used more coolants in more vehicles cooling systems over the past, ~40 years. I have even mixed coolant brand/types. I have used garden hose water and Deionized/distilled/ROW with out issues.
And I have driven most of my vehicles into their teens/200K-300K or more miles. The only cooling system issues that I have ever had were with vehicles that were known to have cooling system issues(IM/head gasket/water pump)...GM 3.1/3.4 V6's, Mopar 2.2L/2.5L 4cyl, Ford Taurus 3.0/3.8 Vulcans. Otherwise, only radiator rot from winter road salt after ~ 15 years/150-250K miles.

I'm sure that one day I may get bit but, it hasn't happened yet and I'll never know wheather or not it was my coolant choice or factory parts that were at fault. Unless again, it turns out to be a vehicle that has a history of failures reguardless of coolant type.

OK, OK already, I 'get it'!!!

I was only asking for the resident techies' opinions, NOT pushing/endorsing this company's products/marketing, nor stating I plan to use any of it (although their Hyper Kuhl stuff can't be any worse than Water Wetter, or Purple Ice, and YES, I know that most on here blast those products as well, for coolant using, street driven rides at least

).

So I guess the whole 'sacrificial' grounded zinc anode in the radiator side tank application is useless/bogus as well (in a 50/50 system)??

As it chemically removes electrons from the cooling system metals, it does damage that will eventually lead to leaks and system failure. Using distilled water in combination with 50% antifreeze is no problem, because the distilled water will seek, and find, electrochemical balance from the various chemical ingredients in the antifreeze mixture. But using distilled water as straight water coolant, either with or without No-Rosion, is strongly discouraged."

Wallace Shawn had a one-word line in 'The Princess Bride' that is appropriate here:

"MORONS!!!"

I love the part where it says, "when water is distilled, or “stripped” of impurities, the resulting solution is composed of chemically imbalanced “ions.”"

Uh, Nooo.... When water is distilled, the resulting solution is NOT EVEN A SOLUTION! Its just water, with NO ions at all in it! Distilled water is not even electrically conductive BECAUSE it has no ions!! Jeez, they're selling a chemical and couldn't even pass high school chemistry!

I'm not sure I could stand it...

Right......just the other day I spilled some DI water on my hand....it started to burn since it was sooooo hungry for my electrons....had to rinse it off with tap water....

But seriously, here's a test. Engine #1: DI water only Engine #2: Salt water only (or other eletrolyte of your choice. The more concetrated, the better.....can't be stripping water of its ions!!).

What do you think is going to happen?
