My sig car just ran a 12.56 at almost 113 mph recently, street tires and all. But nowadays it's not that quick compared to dozens of todays cars!

What is your sig car? I know it's either some sort of SRT or Mercedes.

I thought it was an SRT 300

I was waiting for the inevitable post telling me that I don't understand since I don't race.

Get upset much? If you read the post you will see I just messing with the guy it was all in good fun.
Where did anyone say you don't understand anything?

Time to update your sig line with your new best ET, congrats!

Nope, you won't here that from me. It was just F-body/Mustang Banter.

You will however hear me tell people that your 250,000 mile 90 horsepower to wheels car doesn't impress because it doesn't make enough power to break anything.

I disagree as the 500lbs does not limit is capability to be a very capable road course car. Did you read the article?

I remember the days when a V8 Mustang used to weigh just a tick over 3000 pounds. Although they only made 225hp then and didn't have any of the safety and luxury features of a new one.

Given the choice between a new Mustang and a new Camaro, I'd chose the Mustang, I think it looks a lot nicer. I really never warmed up to look of the 5th and 6th gen Camaro.

To be honest I don't like how either of them look. It is, for me at least, the performance that I am looking at.

(I would also include all of the 'miraculous' 500K+ mile Camrys/Avalons/Lexus LS/etc. everyone gushes over in that same statement above.

If GM could pare 500+ lbs. off of these cars, they would DESTROY most of the worshiped, 6X the price, 'hypercars' out there, in performance at least.

But can your WS6 haul two goats around while getting 40 mpg? My wife has accomplished this feat in her Versa, which is actually rather impressive.

Then again, her absolute dream car is an early '90s Geo Storm. 100% serious. Says it looks like a baby Camaro. I said why not get a real Camaro, at this point they're easier to find? Doesn't want one.

LOL, Nope but my buddy tows his boat with his. Has for years.

This car runs 10.90s and is turbo

I'm not a fan of the WS6 hood, but the "base" 98-02 Firebird has to be one of the best looking cars of all time. I kind of wish Pontiac was still around to bring it back when Chevy brought back the Camaro, but at the same time I'm sure they'd screw it up.

That picture right there, though, that's the perfect thing for a guy to show his wife if he's trying to justify buying one. Don't have a boat? Time to get one of those too, to justify buying the car!

Nope, but my LS1 Z28 hauled two kids and their hockey gear/bags around (and one was a GOALIE!) at the same time, while getting over 30 MPG (on the highway, at least), and still producing a mid 12 second/114 MPH quarter mile posting.

Not quite as "impractical" as all of the 'requisite' minivan drivers make them out to be.
