With practice it's not as hard as many think. I remember the first time I did the plugs on my 98 Formula it took close to 2 hours. But then I started playing around with different heat ranges of plugs so my the third time doing the plug change I got to the point where I could do all the plugs in under 45 minutes. It helps to have thin forearms to get to those back plugs, along with a swivel socket.

Except performance wish the SS is better than the GT.

I know people complain about visibility, but I am buying something like that is purely numbers and the Ford does not cut it.

A Camaro SS is my next car. The Malibu is paid off and the Caprice has 4 months. Then I am shopping.

Motor Trend SS VS GT

Mike understood but I went to Mustang in 01 with a 97 I am talking about 93-02. Today I would get so much off from rebates from GM it would be silly for me not to buy a Camaro over a Mustang.

Fair enough, but the Mustangs from that time frame didn't stand a change against an F-body from then. Especially when they ran into an LS1 powered F-body. I would routinely destroy my buddies 98 Cobra with my 98 Z28. It wasn't even a contest. It wasn't until the Bullitt or the 03 Terminator that they stood a chance. Even Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords tested a bone stock 1998 F-body and ran 12's. My 01 Z28 ran consistent 12.95's bone stock and you know I am numbers guy.

In terms of an engine that's not half buried under the dash and an interior that doesn't fall apart just from breathing on it, Mustang wins and that's what made my decision for me.

Yeah the performance wasn't there but the Camaro looked like a long turd.

Are you definitely going for the 1LE?

Wouldn't have it any other way.

Beauty is most certainly in the eye of the beholder... and you don't need a Camaro...

Well if those are your two arguments. Here is something you are probably used to looking at.

Some more F-body taillights.

^^^Haw! Spent a LOT of time at the strip when those crazy fast F bodies were running by the dozens.

They ran extremely low 13's even with ridiculously poor drivers. Anyone who knew how to launch one could get into the 12's.

Yeah I am only giving the guy with the Mustang a little ribbing. I have not had any interior problems with any of mine, but I take care it. Plus all mine have lived
in the garage. That helps.

I ran 12.90's all day long with my 01 Z28. The 01 and 02 were usually a few .10s faster because they came from the factory with the LS6 intake vs the original LS1 intake.
so on the dyno the difference at the wheels was generally 20 to 30 hp before any modifications.

Yeah back when the came out they were fast. The current crop of cars is crazy. There are guys running 11.90's in the Camaro with nothing done on a good day at the track.
Blows my mind.

Absolutely agreed. Their interiors were a bit flimsy, but keeping one indoors would really help. But I always loved the T/A's myself.

My sig car just ran a 12.56 at almost 113 mph recently, street tires and all. But nowadays it's not that quick compared to dozens of todays cars!

I fully admit, it's slower than an LS1. But it's still fun to drive and the chances of me racing it are almost zero so it is what it is.

Who cares if someone else is faster? Buy, whatever you like. And, fyi I've had many race cars and have run 8.70s at over 160 mph in the 1/4 so please spare me the "I don't understand" stuff.

Get upset much? If you read the post you will see I just messing with the guy it was all in good fun.
Where did anyone say you don't understand anything?

What is your sig car? I know it's either some sort of SRT or Mercedes.
