Today-

Castrol 5 Qt. Jug - $16
Castrol High Mileage 5 Qt. Jug - $16
Castrol 5w20 Qt. - $3.78
Castrol 5w30 Qt. - $2.58
Castrol 10w30 Qt. - $2.58

I asked the guy at the counter and he said they had just changed the prices the other day that they are correct.

You can buy quarts of 5&10w30 for cheaper than you can a jug.

Pennzoil conventional 5 Qt. Jug - $12
Pennzoil High Mileage YB 5 Qt. Jug - $12 (down from $14)

Two good oils, same price.

Also, the Mobil 1 section is finally dwindling.

Oh yeah, and the Motorcraft prices finally crested $12 and they are picked clean as well. I don't know if it is shortage or a busy weekend.

Castrol is going to be 20 bucks a jug pretty soon. On the other hand, the Pennzoil High Mileage used to be 16-17 bucks a jug. Maybe its time to convert to Pennzoil after my stash of Havoline runs dry..

Saw that one of my faves, Rotella T syn 5W40 was up to $22/gallon, more than the price of 4 qts??? Looks like the good deals @ Walmart are going away quick...

Local Wally's had Castrol GTX 2-pack of 5 quart jugs for $26.00, stacked on the floor about 3 feet tall.

Pennzoil conventional 5 quart jug was $12.00 on the end cap.

My wife's Eclipse ran Pennzoil for most of it's life and I switched it to Pennzoil High Mileage when it started consuming oil (like all early Eclipses). It didn't do anything for it. Granted, I don't know what would have....

I actually (shhh, don't tell anyone) am running a miz of PP, old Pennzoil Synthetic, and Pennzoil High Mileage in my 9-5 right now. I won't run it over a couple thou and it also has a few ounces of arx mixed in...

PP just went from $19 to $23 here too, luckily I had bought 5 jugs at $19. Held off on the Rotella 5W40 now it is high too at $22.

Maybe a slow reaction to the very high jump in crude?

Have enough to last about 1 year on the shelves, wife thinks I am crazy but I told her these 5 jugs are like getting one free with the $4 jump in price on the PP.

Do they routinely ship WM custom jugs intended for Canada to US stores??
