And just picked up two weeks ago 3 gallons of 5w30 Formula Shell for the wifes Mazda 3 at BJ's with coupon for $22. Bsaed on a VOA I saw it looks like an excellent oil at any price.
where's the V.O.A. for the SHELL 5w30 ? Thanks

Sorry for the delay just saw your question.

I don't see any good value for any oil, dino and syn, right now. The last dino I bought was FAR Peak oil more than a year ago, before that was Halvoline Deposit Shield and Chevron Supreme for $0.49/qt after rebate few years ago. The last syn I bought was Valvoline Synpower for less than $1/qt after rebate 3 months ago. I will not buy any more oil if the price of dino is more than $0.50/qt or more than $1/qt for syn. I have enough oil to last more than 4 years with current usage.

My vote is for Warren. 10% NOWACK.

Proline by Conoco at PepBoys $10/5q with a filter is what the Astra was running on last winter.

qs gb went back up to 11 dollar here in walmart. MC 5k and halvolin is still 1.99 at oreilly, but out off stock ATM.

I wish we could get Motorcraft up here other than at Ford.

I can get 12 qts. of Sears Spectrum Plus for $1.49 a quart with the rain check I got last month. I was in Sears today and it has a new, different (edgy) bottle and doesn't have the WPP on the bottom. It is SM rated so I would run it 4 or 5K without worry. Does anybody know if this new bottle oil is still made by WPP?

I know, I feel your pain. I'll go there for the filters for my Ford, and the price isnt too bad for what you get by our Canadian standards but no way I'm gonna go to the dealer for all my oil.

On the other hand, we do have Petro Canada oils, I've yet to try them even though I live a stones throw away from the lubricant refinery with their trucker's store next door. Heard so many good things on this site about their oils, good simple selection, good quality and reasonable price. A trip over there is on the to do list

In Canada, I'd say SuperTech conventional oils. They're re-refined but I have never seen them perform worse than any big name oil. In fact they've actually performed very well in relation. And it's about as cheap as it gets.

who made ST oil ? I usually pay 1 dollar more for QS GB. BTW GS GB is went up price, I think 11 or 11.50. only halvoline is 10 dollar for walmart price.
