Valvoline Restore & Protect

No nerve struck, just some advice for someone who seems upset about what oil and music exists in the world, lol. If you don't like it, then don't buy or listen to it. I'm a hard rock guy anyway. :D
Far from upset my friend.
And yeah, don’t care much for it, won’t buy it.

Obviously confused and/or trolling. If you "don't care much for it" without even trying it out, then where does this stem from.
So, no not trolling. So a while back an individual was asking about the validity of the claims of the oil. You made mention that one product of the year for 2025. That’s great. I have VRP in my truck, I like the product.

All I was trying to state is this. Is the product really that good or did Valvoline simply market their way into the “product of the year award”? Kind of like the singer Beyoncé did with the country music awards. I guess you missed that connection I was trying to make and took that as trolling?

I was not meaning to troll or poke the bear. I really thought you would get that connection. I guess I had a poor approach to this topic. I certainly do read a lot more here than I post. Maybe I should stick to that.

Based on tons of experiences of people using VRP now that it's been out awhile, one would have to conclude that it works pretty well for many users. Maybe a lot of those type of people voted it for "2025 Product of the Year USA award winner in the Car Care category." Most likely it wasn't the winner based much on just "advertising" by Valvoline. Their advertising and people's experiences told on YT and other social media sources (even on this chat board) probably made people want to try it for themselves as time went on after it hit the market, and if it made a noticeable difference for them when they used it, then those people became first hand believers in the product. You bought some, so what made you decide to try it? Certainly wasn't seeing that it won the "2025 USA car care product of the year", lol.

Well, I got what you meant first time...

At this point if you insist R&P doesn’t do as claimed there’s an alternative agenda.

1500 more miles until I post my results.

What oil brands did you use in the prior 35k? I'm assuming you stayed with similar viscosities.
Valvoline always seemed to produce my quietest engines. I purchased three jugs of VRP for my daughter's Acadia.

So I guess I can say I got the Valvoline purchasing itch again
Funny you should say that. Valvoline made my Harley run quieter compared to Mobil 1.

Re: Your statement in bold in the 1s paragraph. That's not how it works. The piston ring pack can get deposits that cause them to stick and stop functioning properly. Being "constantly in motion and constant friction" has nothing to do with it.

If you don't want to watch the whole video, fast forward to around the 33:00 time mark. This is a prime example of an engine that is completely spotless inside, except for the ring pack - and it was obviously burning a lot of oil. This engine probably could have been saved by a product that removed those ring deposits and got the rings freely moving again.

No VRP at WM currently - but new yellow bottles of Rislone Restore & Protect to fight stuck rings and lifter noise right across from the oil aisle - I like it as a cologne (nice esters smell) but it could very well provide some decent engine cleaning ?

My 20qt garage box just arrived today. It is going into the whole fleet. I prefer 1 oil for all, and settled on it.

I know the TL could use some cleaning, the Honda as well. The Ranger needs to stay clean.
Where did you order the 20qt box from? I can find evidence of it existing online, but haven't been able to track down any place to actually order it from.
